MRCEDM and the Metroplex
The Metroplex region, which now has more high-tech industry and jobs than any other part of Texas, can benefit from a strong, unified university research community. The continued growth of this segment of the economy in North Texas requires acceleration in the development of technology-based infrastructure similar to that provided by other major research universities in the nation. To catalyze the synthesis of such an infrastructure throughout North Texas, the faculty from four major universities in the region combined to form MRCEDM, a formidable group of research scientists, engineers, and resources.
